Courses


Regular Course (1 year 6 months, 2 years, 3 months)

A comprehensive course which meets 5 days per week. Students who are not on a Student Visa are free to choose the length of their program (3 months~2 years). For students at the Intermediate Level or higher, there are also elective courses that may be taken depending on personal needs and goals. These courses cover a range of topics, including assistance in going on to the next level of schooling and career guidance.

Through various real-life scenarios and theme-based activities in the curriculum, students will strengthen all four basic language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
For students at the Intermediate Level or higher, there are also elective courses that may be selected depending on personal goals and interests. These courses cover a range of topics, including assistance in preparing for the next level of schooling, business skills, Japanese culture, kanji etc.

Levels

It usually takes about 3 months to move on to the next level

Japanese Ability
Beginner 1 Has the basic communication skills for greeting, introduction etc. Can keep a simple conversation.
Beginner 2 Can hold longer conversations on familiar topics. Has the communication ability necessary when shopping or at the bank, and can follow basic procedures.
Intermediate 1 Has the ability to get by on day-to-day situations.
Can give simple directions and explanations
Intermediate 2 Can speak about one’s experience with expression.
Can exchange ideas with friends on familiar topics.
Advanced Intermediate 1 Understands the main ideas regarding social issues on the newspaper or news, and has the basic ability to state an opinion
Advanced Intermediate 2 Understands social issues and can state one's own opinion.
Other than in formal situations, has the ability to communicate without any difficulty
Advanced 1 Can state one's opinion and reasoning on various topics.
Can carry out a conversation with consideration to others’feelings and position.
Advanced 2 Can understand most of what the Japanese read and hear on a day-to-day basis.
Responds in Japanese that is appropriate for the speaker’s position and situation.

Private Lessons

A customized course whereby students may decide their own period of study, time, and frequency of lessons. The cost per person will be lower for lessons with 2 or 3 people. This option is also available for larger groups and companies. For more information, please contact us.
