Graduates step forward to a new hope for their future

The annual TYIS graduation ceremony was held at 9:00AM, Friday morning, June 18th in the Audio/Visual Room of the Tokyo YMCA. The event was attended by the entire school and the proud parents of the graduating Kindergarten and Grade 6 students.
The audience was addressed by Mr. Togo (Principal), Mr. Yamane (Vice-Principal), Mr. Maxfield (Program Director), Ms. Sabi (Kindergarten teacher) and Mr. Wells (Grade 6 teacher).
The Kindergarten graduates introduced themselves and told the audience what they wanted to be in the future. They performed two songs and a skit before receiving their diplomas.
A special poem was read by Emily Hama. Special letters from the students were presented to Ms.Sabi and Ms.Yuko.

The upper classmen gave farewell addresses giving their impressions of their experiences at TYIS over the past years before being presented with their diplomas.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, everyone left with warm and happy feelings.
Congratulations to the Class of 2010!!
