TYIS Summer School 2014

TYIS is offering our summer school program as an additional English experience during summer vacation! It is open for anybody who goes to an international school. If you would like to participate, please feel free to contact TYIS!

1. Dance Class Program <June 30 to July 4>

Students will learn about several styles of dance, what it means to their native cultures, and how to perform a variety of dance moves. This will be a great opportunity for students to practice their reading, listening, and speaking skills as well as staying active through dance!

Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm

For: International School Students from Grade 1 to 6

Cost: 43,200yen (tax included)

2. "Freshwater Ecosystems and Mountain Ecosystems" Program <June 30 to July 4>

Using a "Freshwater Ecosystems and Mountain Ecosystems" theme, students will learn essential English Language Arts skills through a variety of integrated activities, such as reading, speaking, spelling and vocabulary exercises, writing, and practicing basic keyboarding/typing exercises.

Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm

For: International School Students of Grade 1 and 2

Cost: 43,200yen (tax included)

3. Science Fair Program <July 14 to July 18>

Students will learn how to create and conduct a scientific experiment using the basic scientific method. Students will complete their own scientific experiment during this week.

Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm

For: International School Students from Grade 1 to 6

Cost: 43,200yen (tax included)

4. "Ocean Ecosystems" Program <July 14 to July 18>

Using an "Ocean Ecosystems" theme, students will learn essential English Language Arts skills through a variety of integrated activities, such as reading, learning new spelling and vocabulary, speaking, and writing sentences and/or paragraphs using Ocean Ecosystems theme ideas.

Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm

For: International School Students of Grade 1 and 2
