TYIS is offering our summer school program as an additional English experience during the summer vacation. It will be a great opportunity for the students to strengthen their English skills this summer holiday. Come and join our TYIS Summer School and have a great time with your friends and teachers!

1. Ms. Robbins's Creative Writing Workshop Class 【June 22nd to June 26th 】

Students will read stories for inspiration, write stories from their own creative minds, participate in an editing workshop, and publish several final pieces. On the last day they will present at least 1 published story in our Story Café. This will be a great opportunity for students to practice reading, writing, speaking, and listening in English while tapping into their creative minds!

Time: 9:00A.M. - 3:00P.M.
For: Grades 1-6
Cost: 43,200 yen (tax included)

2.Mr. Lara's Terrestrial Ecosystems Class 【June 22nd to June 26th 】

Students will study terrestrial ecosystems such as Grasslands (Temperate and Savannah), Chaparral, Temperate and Tropical Forests, and Deserts. Within the week, students will select a specific terrestrial ecosystem and create a project (Keynote, diorama, etc.) which will be presented to parents on the last day.

3.Mr. Arthur's "Learn About Space and the Solar System" 【June 22nd to June 26th】

While studying the theme of space and the solar system, students will learn English language arts skills through reading, writing, listening, and speaking activities. Students will read theme-related books, write and speak in complete sentences, learn theme related vocabulary, watch videos in English about space and the solar system, and create space and solar system themed projects. Students will create and give a presentation on a new planet of their own creation.
