Dear Prospectus Families,

It gives me great pleasure to announce the planned opening of a High School division here at TYIS!

We have been wishing for grades 10 through 12 to add to our school completing the K to 12 academic and educational offerings TYIS provides and now the wishing is over.
It is time to make this a reality!

Now it is our 25th anniversary year.
A quarter century of academics, outdoor education and school experience has passed, and we now face the next 25 years and the future, OUR future.



We can clearly see our student body and the shape this takes from younger grades up to our Middle School grades that have been operating for the past several years.
It is also apparent that a rich variety of athletics, afterschool clubs and a healthy choice of social interaction is just as important as math, science or other aspects of schooling.

It is with this in mind, the enrichment of every child's school experience in TYIS that we have decided to move boldly forward, to announce our high school opening and to finally realize our completed educational offering and ensure the future longevity of Tokyo YMCA International School.

At this time, we are expecting to hire teachers for the program during the 2024-2025 school year to start Grade 10 in September of 2025.
