Every month, all the TYIS students gather in the cafeteria for an assembly. During the assemblies, TYIS presents AR awards and Six Pillar awards. AR awards are presented to the students who got high scores on AR book quizzes. Six Pillar awards are for students who have shown Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring or Citizenship. This month, it was an award for "Citizenship".

Students who received awards were called to the stage and teachers presented the awards in front of all the students. This month, 48 students received AR awards and 12 for the Six Pillar awards. Since it was the last assembly of this school year, TYIS presented "End of Year Awards" to students who read the most AR book, read most AR words, earned most AR points, had highest average AR book level and AR quiz average. They all looked very proud and happy. Many students wish to receive an award next time, so assemblies are a good opportunity to stimulate their desire to read!
