YMCA/FCSC 2010 Charity Concert in support of the YMCA's Challenged Children Project

On July 8th, 2010, YMCA FCSC(Foreign Community Supporting Committee) will hold it's annual Charity Concert at Australian Embassy to support YMCA's Challenged Children Project.

All money raised goes to help mentally and physically challenged children through the
Challenged Children Project (CCP) run under the auspices of the National Council of YMCAs of Japan.
Each year more than 5,000 children are able to gain greater self confidence, a moment of happiness, through over 110 camps, music programs and other activities.

YMCA/Foreign Community Supporting Committee(FCSC)
History
In 1958 with the help of the USA YMCA and under the auspices of the New Zealand Embassy, the YMCA Foreign Community Supporting Committee (FCSC) was established to raise funds and support for the YMCA, and promote understanding between the international community and Japan.

Composed of ambassadors serving as honorary chairmen and a regular committee of prominent members of the international business community, this volunteer committee continues to support YMCA youth programs by raising millions of yen each year.
