On Tuesday, October 5th and Thursday, October 7th, TYIS students took up positions outside the west exits of Toyocho Station to collect donations for the Pakistani Flood Relief Fund.
They went about the task with great enthusiasm, and the job they did was first-rate! They managed to raise a total of 75,436 yen (plus 1000 Bangladeshi takas and 1 US dollar)! Passersby were impressed with their efforts, and contributed graciously.　　Together with other funds raised, this fund will be sent to Lahore YMCA in Pakistan for relief of the flood affected people.
