We have set up many types of services to help support our students in their Japanese studies

The following scholarships are available:

Tokyo YMCA Nihongo Gakuin Scholarships

Eligibility	For students with outstanding academic achievement and character. Must be a Student Visa holder and enrolled in the school for more than 6 months.
Number Eligible	Approximately 3 people
Duration	First Semester: June ~ October (5 months)/ Second Semester: November ~ March of the following year (5 months)
Content	¥ 20,000 per month

Tokyo YMCA International Cooperation Scholarship

Eligibility	For students enrolled in the Comprehensive Japanese Course for more than 6 months and who have shown outstanding academic achievement and character.
Number Eligible	Approximately 3 people
Content	¥ 10,000 per month

For students who wish to practice Japanese with a Japanese native, Volunteers Supporters are available. These Japanese volunteers who have registered with the Tokyo YMCA will also help students get accustomed to life in Japan.

More Info

International students on Student Visas will be enrolled in an insurance policy that will compensate for medical expenses. The fee for this insurance (approximately ¥10,000/year) will be covered by the YMCA.

However, students are responsible for taking out the National Health Insurance on their own. Anyone staying in Japan for longer than a year must enroll in the National Health Insurance. Fees are determined by the local municipal government.
