Held during the spring, summer, and winter breaks, this short-term English program brings together children from Japan and around the world. As English is mainly spoken throughout the program, children visiting Tokyo from overseas can jump right in and enjoy the experience alongside children who live in Japan.

Over active days, children will have the chance to enjoy a diverse array of themed activities, including STEAM-based activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Cooking/Mathematics) as well as games, physical education time, and team-building exercises.
Using the facilities at Tokyo YMCA International School, children will explore, learn, and play, all in a fun and welcoming English-speaking environment. This can be an invaluable experience for your child to experience a short study abroad experience while in Japan.

東京YMCAでは、春・夏・冬休みに、国内外のお子さまを対象とした短期プログラム「STEAM Seasonal School」を開催しています。海外から東京を訪れるお子さまも、日本で暮らす子どもたちと一緒に参加し、さまざまなアクティビティを楽しむことができます。
Science（科学）、Technology（技術）、Engineering（工学）、Art（芸術）、Mathematics（数学）の要素を取り入れたSTEAMアクティビティをはじめ、ゲーム、PE、Team Buildingなど、テーマに沿った多彩な活動を行います。

The Tokyo YMCA STEAM Seasonal School is a great choice for families who want to make the most of their time in Tokyo while giving their children a fun, meaningful experience during the day.

At the Tokyo YMCA, overseas participants will join activities alongside Japanese children, playing games, taking on challenges, and working together as a team. Even with language and cultural differences, playing and learning together creates natural opportunities to connect. We believe that in shared activities and experiences, children can build friendships, discover new perspectives, and enjoy the excitement of meeting someone from a different background.

Children who do not speak Japanese are also more than welcome to participate. Activities are conducted in English by native English-speaking instructors and bilingual leaders, so children can communicate, take part, and have fun in English.

※Can't speak Japanese? No problem! As long as participants can communicate in either English or Japanese, they can enjoy the program.

▮Welcome to the YMCA STEAM Winter School!

This winter's theme is "Winter Magic." Enjoy STEAM activities in English set in a magical world of snow and enchantment!

Enjoy three days of exciting, hands-on STEAM activities in English, all set in a magical world of snow, creativity, and imagination. In our Technology class, children can create their own "Glowing Magic Wand," while the Engineering class challenges them to design and launch a "Ping-Pong Ball Snowman"! They'll also have a three-day "Cooking × Math" activity of making delicious adorable sweet snowman face "pizzas". And that's just the beginning, we have plenty of other creative and hands-on activities planned! Since the focus is on using English naturally through play, children both new and native to English are more than welcome. It's a fun way to develop critical thinking and self-expression skills. Come join us and make some Winter Magic at the YMCA!

今年のテーマは「Winter Magic」、雪と魔法が織りなすファンタジーな世界を舞台に、英語でSTEAM Activityを体験しませんか？
例えば、Technologyでは「光る魔法のスティック」を自分で作成したり、Engineeringでは、「ピンポン玉雪だるま飛ばし」に挑戦！また、3日間のCooking×Mathのアクティビティでは、雪だるまのピザなどを作ります！ 他にも、特別な体験型アクティビティが盛りだくさん！遊び感覚で自然に英語を使うため、英語が初めてのお子様も大歓迎です。楽しみながら、自ら考える力や表現する力を育んでいきます。

① Register at YMCA Portal site
Please submit your application via the portal site.
To begin, please register information for both parent/guardian and your child / children using the orange [Member Registration] button at the top right of the page.

② Program Selection and Application
After completing registration, please select either [W2] or [W3] from the "2026 Winter Program" section. Once you select a program, an application banner will appear at the bottom of the screen. Please proceed with the application process from there

③ Complete the Google Form
Please fill out the google form provided in the membership registration confirmation email sent from the portal site.

④ Payment
Please transfer the payment to the designated account.
Credit card payments are not accepted.

[Cancellation Policy]
○ You may cancel a booked program via your "My Page" within 7 days of the booking date.
From the 8th day onwards, please contact the center where the program is held.
○ Cancellation fees will be charged based on the date of cancellation, as outlined below.
○ If a refund is due, it will be issued via bank transfer, minus any applicable transfer fees.
○ If the program cannot be held due to failing to meet the minimum number of participants, the full participation fee will be refunded via bank transfer.
○ Please note that bank transfer fees for refunds made to accounts outside Japan will be charged to the recipient.

・Up to 7 days from the website booking date (inclusive): Free
・From the 8th day after the web booking date (inclusive) up to 14 days before the program starts: 1,100 JPY
・13 days to 2 days before the program starts: 40% of the participation fee
・The day before the program starts: 60% of the participation fee
・On the day of the program: 100% of the participation fee

② プログラム選択・お申込み
登録完了後、「2026 Winter Program」より、【W2】または【W3】をお選びください。プログラムを選択すると、画面下部にお申込み用のバナーが表示されます。そちらからお申込み手続きをお進めください。

③Googleフォームご回答のお願い
ポータルから送られるメンバー登録完了メールにありますGoogle Formより、お手数ですが、該当のリンクよりご回答をお願いいたします。

④ご入金のお願い
指定口座よりお振込みください。
